Dedicated and active Volunteers are the backbone of JDRF. The organization was founded in 1970 by the parents of children with juvenile diabetes – a disease which strikes children suddenly, makes them insulin dependent for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications. Volunteers help define research priorities, select research grant recipients, lead advocacy efforts, and provide guidance to overall operations.
For more information on volunteering, complete the below form or contact the JDRF chapter office at 919-847-2630 or triangle.volunteer@jdrf.org.
The JDRF offices are always in need of volunteers. If you are interested in joining us, please fill out this form and return it to the address listed above. We would appreciate any time you have to volunteer, no matter how large or how small. We will fit into your schedule.
